Our Doctors of Osteopathy are here to protect the health and well
being of the public in a manner that promotes quality care. The Board protects the public
by assuring the D.O.'s that are licensed in this state are competently trained and practicing
within appropriate standards. If you feel that any of these requirements are not being met
or if you know of a D.O. that is not meeting these standards and you would like to lodge a
complaint, please click on the "filing a complaint" link below.
This Board's authority and jurisdiction is ONLY over a licensed Osteopathic Physician. The Board does not
have the authority to order a D.O. to pay any kind of restitution nor will we represent a patient in
recovering any actual or punitive damages. Unfortunately, there are many instances when the Board doesn't have
jurisdiction over an incident which forces us to dismiss the complaint. If this should happen don't be discouraged
there are other agencies that may be able to help you with these types of situations, especially
if you feel your D.O. has injured you. Please contact one of the resources below right away as some agencies
have specific time limits in which to file a complaint.
